Chase Freedom has announced its cash-back rewards for Q2, where it will be offering various cashback values for its card members. Chase Freedom Flex cardholders can earn 9% cash back on hotel stays booked through Chase Travel, 7% cash back on restaurants, and 5% cash back on Amazon.com purchases.

Chase Freedom cardholders can earn 5% cash back on the same categories this Q2 quarter of the year. Brent Reinhard, General Manager of Chase Freedom, gave his views on the Chase 5% Bonus Categories for Q2 2024 and said the rewards or the cashback for the cardholders are not just money saved but it helps them to create experiences that will be with them throughout their lives.

Chase Freedom released this quarter’s bonus and will release other offers throughout the year. The bonus categories for July to September will be announced on June 15, and the categories from October to December will be announced on September 15.

When booking hotels directly with the hotel or through Chase Travel, cardmembers can earn 5% cash back. For Chase Freedom Flex cardholders, there’s an offer of 9% total cash back on hotels booked via Chase Travel, along with 7% total cash back on dining at restaurants.

Moreover, both Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Flex cardholders can earn a 5% cash back when purchasing everyday essentials from Amazon and Whole Foods Market.

What are the Other Details?

To get the 5% cash back, it is important to activate the bonus categories each quarter. Once the activation is done, the 5% cash back will start. To ensure the cardholders can enjoy the maximum benefit, Chase also offers reminders to activate the rewards on the calendar or as email alerts.

To join Chase’s rotating 5% categories, cardholders need to apply for the Chase Freedom Flex, as the Chase Freedom Unlimited is no longer open for new applications.

The Freedom Flex is a top cash-back card with no annual fee. It offers 5% cash back on travel booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards. The card also offers 3% cashback at restaurants and drugstores and an additional 1% cashback on all other purchases.

However, the 5% cashback is not unlimited. It is available for up to $1,500 combined purchases in the bonus categories each quarter. Once the cardholder spends more than that, the cash-back rate decreases to 1%, and this limit resets every quarter.

You automatically get 1% cash back on purchases outside the bonus categories. To maximize your rewards, consider using another cash-back or rewards credit card to earn more than 1% cashback.
